Call barring prevents all outgoing calls being made from your phone number. You may request for it from your phone network operator or you activate it yourself. If you have active call barring, you will still be able receive all types of incoming calls .
This service protects your existing cellphone’s SIM cards from any unauthorised make use of. With this service you’ll manage to control the types of calls being made and received with your phone number . Call Barring lets you determine what types of calls your SIM card is allowed either to generate outgoing or to receive incoming . You need a four digits barring code. Initially the default barring code is 0000. You should create a personal barring code for security reasons.
To prevent outgoing calls from your phone, dial *33*barring code# send . Once you finished dialing this code you will not be able to use your phone number to make calls until you cancel it .
To cancel bar outgoing calls, dial #33*barring code# send . The default barring code is 0000 , if you want to use the default barring code, then you should dial the code as follows *33*0000# send to bar outgoing calls and #33*0000# send to cancel bar outgoing calls.
How To Change Your Default Barring Password
You may wish to change your default barring password which is 0000 to any four digits number of your choice, so that it will be personal . You may have many reasons to change your default barring password may be so that your airtime will be more safer to you , because no one will be able to make any call with your phone number unless you unbar outgoing calls.
To change your default barring password, follow this step below;
dial **03*330*default barring password* new barring password* new barring password # send
Example: **03*330*0000*1234*1234# send
